About the event
Society of Washington Artists Professional Series Class
Urban Landscape Painting and Color Mixing with Oils for Proficiency with Christopher Mooney
Chris will share how to transfer an image from an urban landscape photo reference to a surface such as a canvas. Through an examination of both the process and effects of painting, including demonstrations and exercises, students learn how to analyze and execute various painting techniques while developing an urban landscape painting. Students, working on a project of their own, will have the opportunity to explore a variety of colors.
This class provides a simple introduction to both technical and methods in painting with an emphasis on understanding the fundamentals of color and what you can do with them. Urban landscapes provide a variety of textures and hues and the subject matter is endless. Drive away at the end of this class with new skills to merge into an art…
