Artist Bio

I’m a Ridgefield resident, a member of the Ridgefield Art Association, Society of Washington Artists, Kalama Arts & Makers and a board member with the Battle Ground Art Alliance. I’ve been a photographer since my teen years, and was formally trained by my university professor, an understudy to Ansel Adams. My work includes intriguing reflections, abstracts, architecture, and natural surroundings. Inspired by photographers such as Eugene Atget, my motto is “What I see is what you get.” My images (other than cropping & contrast adjustments) are straight out of the camera without digital manipulation, double exposures, etc. I’ve shown and sold my work in over 50 venues online, in the SF Bay Area, and locally including Asla-Art Gallery in Kalama, The Collective in Ridgefield, Element Restaurant and the Hilton Hotel in Vancouver, Loft Gallery in Battle Ground and several Ridgefield Art Association exhibits I also donate several pieces per year to charitable organization auctions. As a hobby farmer stewarding 10 acres, the foyer of our new red “art barn” serves as a great space for preparing and showing my work.
